    実験協力者による同調圧力により実験対象者が自身の意見を変えてしまうというという現象を，実験的に発生させることができる．このような同調圧力実験を，対面環境ではなくビデオ会議ツールを経由したオンラインで実施した場合に，同調圧力が対面環境と同様に機能するかどうかを確かめた．同調圧力の効果は実験対象者の性格特性に影響されることが知られているが，オンラインでの実験の場合でも性格特性に同じように影響されることを確認した．

    メモを取りながら話を聞く場面に，視線は会話相手と手元のメモに分配される．その際の視線が向けられている先の時間の比率は，個人差があると考えられる．そのような個人差が，聞き手本人に本人によってどのように自覚されているかを聞き取り，実際の会話中の視線配分と比較する．オンラインの会話場面において，指示に従って計算機を使用する状況を設定し，視線計測装置により視線配分を測定した．実験の結果，聞き手の視線配分の自己意識と，実際の視線配分とは対応する傾向にあることがわかった．

  • Automatic building structure classification of single-family houses using exterior images

    There are various types of building structures, such as wooden and steel structures, with different characteristics. However, it is not easy to classify these building structures visually. In this research, we use a pre-trained general-purpose image recognition model based on deep learning to automatically classify building structures from exterior images. By automating the process, it is possible to add building structure information to a large amount of building data. We constructed a classification model by fine-tuning pre-trained models (VGG-16 and VGG-19) for detached rental houses in a real estate information service. When the number of layers of the neural network used for classification is large, the training process takes a long time. If classification performance similar to that of a pre-trained model can be obtained with a small number of layers, the time required for training can be reduced. Therefore, we used our original CNN with a reduced number of layers to search for conditions that would allow us to achieve a classification rate similar to that of a pre-trained model.

    <p>We proposed a typology of reactions to apologies base on the analysis of dialogue corpus. Our typology regards forgiving as the default reaction to the apologies. The responses are classified into two categories: the case when forgiving expressions are explicitly used and the case when forgiving expressions were left out. Then, non-default reactions were categorized based on the possible reasons why the apologies were not accepted.</p>

    <p>Active listening is one of the indispensable axes in evaluating the dialogue of psychotherapy. Although there have been discussions about it in the area of clinical psychology, the method for evaluating active listening has been missing. It is thus necessary to establish it to improve the quality of listening in the interview. The authors have proposed a measurement method of the degree of active listening with a device we originally developed to evaluate emotion (EMO system). This paper reports on the experiment conducted to compare the evaluations of a psychotherapy by expert clinical psychologists with those by undergraduate students as one of the coursework tasks for a clinical psychology course. A new experimental setup was proposed including a multiresolutional analysis to detect the change of active listening evaluation.</p>

    <p>パグリックドメインの映画映像から，複数発話からなる対話区間を自動で抽出し，マルチモーダル対話コーパスを作成した．22ジャンル，1,722本の映画に対して音声検出（VAD）およびルールを適用し，149,689の対話区間を同定した．同定の精度は音楽やミュージカルのジャンルを除き，9割前後であった．大量の対話区間・非対話区間の機械学習のための訓練データや，対話の多様性の分析のために利用可能と考えている．</p>

    人間同士が対話を楽しむ際には,相手の個性が重視される.対話システムが話しかけたいと思わせる魅力的な個性を持つことは,対話システムの利用可能性を高めうる.しかし,テキスト対話システムにおいては,語彙や文体といった発話の表層表現にみられる個性をコーパスベースで実現する手法は未発達である.そこで本研究では,テキスト対話システムにおいて,コーパス分析結果を反映した個性を実装した.人間同士の対話の円滑さを成り立たせる要素の一つが相槌であり,対話システムが,ユーザの発話に対して自然な相槌を返すことは,自然な対話を実現する上でも重要と考えられる.システムに聞き役として相槌を生成させる対話実験を実施し,個性の観点からシステムの印象評価を行った.

    GPSは環境・防災・医療など様々な分野で利用・研究されている。これらの研究では、膨大なGPSログデータを収集する必要がある。しかし、データの収集には時間や金銭といった人的コストの問題がある。 本研究では、位置情報ゲームアプリケーションを設計し、位置情報を用いる研究で利用可能なログデータを収集する手法を提案する。日常行動とゲーム利用時の行動を比較する実験を行うことで、人の移動に影響を与える要因を調査した。また、位置情報の応用例として「GPSログを用いた地図自動生成」を取り上げ、特定の応用目的で収集したログデータと利用目的を限定しないゲーミフィケーションによるログデータとの比較を行う。

    対話システム開発において，Wizard of Oz（WOZ）法による対話事例収集が広く行われている．WOZ法とは，システムに扮した人（ウィザード）がシステムの代わりに発話を行う対話シミュレーション手法であるが，事例収集にコストがかかる．特にWoZの発話選択の負担の大きさが問題となっている．本研究では目標対話タスク以外の対話タスクにおける対話事例を流用し（可搬コーパス）ウィザードに対して発話候補を提示する手法を提案する．対話シミュレーションにおいて異なるタスクの言語資源を用いた発話候補提案の有無で，ウィザードの負担に違いがあるかを検証した．

    方言は、その方言を扱う地方の人間との会話をより円滑にし、より良い人間関係を築くためには必要不可欠なものである。方言理解の補助手段として機械翻訳の利用は有効である。ここでの機械翻訳は、他国語間の翻訳レベルではなく同じ日本語内での翻訳であるため、一般の機械翻訳に比べてそれほど困難ではないと考えられる。我々のグループでは既に共通語から方言 (特に村山方言) へ、品詞ごとの置き換えで、ある程度自然な訳文が得られる翻訳システムを作成している。本稿では、年代差を考慮することで、従来のシステムよりも精度の高い訳文生成が可能となるシステムの構築を目指した。出力結果に対してアンケートを取ったところ、従来のシステムよりもよい、約 84％ の正答率が得られた。The dialect is necessary for the smooth communication with people who live in the country side and usually use the dialect. It is not so difficult for the machine translation between the standard Japanese and a dialect because the translation is limited inside in Japanese. We have already constructed the machine translation system from the standard Japanese to Murayama dialect in Yamagata prefecture which generates relatively natural outputs using the replace of each part of speech. This paper describes the construction of the more accurate system considering the age difference. The result of a questionnaire shows about 84% accuracy rate.

    To mitigate insufficiency of training data, some methods that use &quot;unlabeled data&quot; as training data have been proposed. Time series data, however, have not been taken into consideration. In this paper, we extend Hidden Markov Models (HMMs) to manage both &quot;labeled&quot; and &quot;unlabeled&quot; time series data and derive an &quot;extended Baum-Welch&quot; learning algorithm. The experiments on synthetic and real data show that the proposed method reduces test error rate significantly in some cases.

    職業場面や教育場面などで一対一の面接を実施する機会が増加している．しかし，面接の過程でどのようなインタラクションが起こっているかは，十分に解明されていない．中でも，面接中にノートを取ることは，聞き手に対する信頼感という点でインタラクションに影響を与えうるにもかかわらず，ノートの影響についての実証的な研究が十分になされていない．本研究では，インタラクションの中でも最も基礎的と考えられる二者間のインタラクションにおけるノートの効果を，話し手の発言をまとめ返す状況に着目して，実験的に確認する．研究の流れとして，（１）ノート使用の状況を実際の対話データから抽出すること，（２）抽出された状況を実験の条件として設定することを想定している．（１）の対話状況の分析について，本年度は日常会話に関するコーパスの分析と，映画映像を対象とした独自コーパスの分析とを実施した．このうち，前者に関しては，ノート使用場面に限定しないまとめ返し場面の抽出に取り組んだものの，コーパス中に十分に事例を見出すことができなかったことから，まとめ返しの特徴を既存の対話種別の分類体系と照らし合わせながら，定性的に整理する作業を行った．後者のコーパスの分析においては，人手による会話区間の切り出しと種別の判定に関する手続きを策定し，紀要論文としてまとめている．（２）の実験条件の設定については，性格特性との関連を踏まえた対面での同調実験を実施し，その結果を研究会で報告している．また，コロナ禍でのコミュニケーション実験環境に対応すべく，同実験と可能な範囲で条件をそろえた設定において，オンラインでの非対面実験のための環境を整備し，小規模な予備実験として，対面実験との比較を行っている．

    初学者における傾聴のうわすべりの解明とその回避について、臨床心理面接におけるセラピストの介入のタイミングやコンテクストがClにもたらす心情を連続的に計測するという観点から明らかにするため、次のように実施した。1.傾聴のうわすべり発生のメカニズム：◆臨床心理面接対話の整備及び◆対話のマルチモーダルな分析による知識発見の手法を用いて、不適切な介入のタイミングやコンテクストの特徴を、発話・身振り・口振りと傾聴の評価値に関する定量的な観測データから実証。2.傾聴のうわすべり回避の方法：◆初学者への知識の還元と効果の検証の手法を用いて、しっかり傾聴しつつ的確に介入するためのタイミングやコンテクストに関わる知識を実践する。得られた知識を授業やワークショップ等で初学者に公開。
    1.については、臨床心理面接コーパスの一層の活用にむけて、各データ間での表記方法等のゆれを解消するなど整備を徹底し、全44対話データについての修正作業が完了した。また、セラピストとクライアントの身振りとしてのうなずきの測定とその解釈に関する英論文および傾聴の評価値とその活用に関する英語論文を準備している。
    2.については、日本ブリーフセラピー協会第12回学術会議において、大学院生等の初学者他の参加者に対して、ワークショップやシンポジウムを以下のように実施した。「最新のコミュニケーション研究とブリーフセラピー」として傾聴の基礎研究とその臨床応用についてワークショップを行い、寄せられた質疑に対応した。また、大会企画シンポジウムにおいて、「情報処理と臨床心理学 ―現在の到達点とこれから―」として、各話題提供者からの現在の技術の到達点において活用が期待される場面や活用方法についての報告に対し、指定討論を行った。

One of such techniques is compliment that involves praises of some aspects of clients. In order to clarify the causes of success and failure of the compliment method, we annotated the database of counseling dialogue with the labels of the basic functions of the dialogue. Also, we developed a procedure for annotating compliments in counseling.

    A human shaped robot has great possibility to be an intuitive and human friendly interface. Existence of the mirror neuron system shows the possibility. In our previous work, we have developed a wearable miniature humanoid MH-2. The purpose of this study is to establish a miniature humanoid technology to achieve presenting the "presence" and "intention" of a person. To attain the purpose, we developed a new miniature humanoid MH-3 that achieves facial expression and fingertip motion. In addition, we evaluated the communication capability of a small-sized humanoid robot that has human-like proportions.

    We aimed to develop a method to continuous and quantitative evaluation of psychotherapy. (1) A database consisting of 44 sessions was developed with several kinds of annotations. (2) Active listening in psychotherapy was evaluated as time-sequential values by using a real-time, continuous input system. (3) Small sensors and integrated softwares were developed to measure speech and body movements. (4) The time-sequential values of active listening was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. It was checked whether they were predicted from feature vectors of speech sounds. They were also analyzed by multi-resolution wavelet analysis to detect the change points, which was found consistent between psychotherapists. Experiments were performed to compare evaluations on the change points between professional psychotherapists and undergraduate students. The method used in this experiment would be useful for education of psychotherapy.

    The purpose of this research is to clarify how a therapist should be able to listen to a client in order to realize an effect. (1) Reconsideration of the concept of Active Listening: By constructing and utilizing the clinical psychology interview corpus, we evaluated active listening counseling by EMO system[EMOtional MOvement Observation system], grasped the concept of active listening, and applied it to clinical learning. Furthermore, we have found correspondence with micro counseling and characteristics of rating for each person who evaluates active listening. (2) Development of Active Listening Education Program: Based on (1), we provided knowledge on active listening, which learners of counseling and practitioners can use, was provided through texts.

    In training programs for psychotherapists, the instructors teach various techniques mainly based on their experience which could be annotated with written language. It is, however, not easy to explain nonlinguistic factors like nodding, prosody, and attitude which may carry emotional information important for sympathy and mutual trust. In this study, we tried to quantify the emotional factors based on the measurement of speech and motion as usable information in the training. We studied three issues: (1) Recording video, speech, and head motion in psychotherapy sessions and archiving them with annotations in the database, (2) Development of tools for data recording and emotional state evaluation, (3) Analysis of speech and nodding data to extract regularity. We collected forty four dialogues which are marvelously large for future studies. We developed a simple, portable recording system and EMO (EMOtional Movement Observation) system for emotional state evaluation.

    In the clinical psychology interview, the therapist's intention of the intervention does not come at all, and the client may not notice even that there was intervention. Even if the intention comes, it is not accepted and may be resisted. How does the gap (following "discrepancy") between the therapist's intention of the intervention and the perception of the client occur and dissolve? We elucidated it by quantitative data of sound and nod from the point of the view of "listening". Specifically
    (1)we clarified how a therapist and a client experiencing discrepancy achieve communication by listening each other's utterance well.
    (2)we offered effective knowledge (e.g., how to intonate and how to nod) for a therapist and a client to dissolve discrepancy.

    In this research, we examined the transition of acts in dialogues that reflects styles of speakers as the dynamic feature for contrasting dialogues of variety of topics.     When psychotherapists designed "field of dialogue" referred to as psychotherapy, how would the skills of expert psychotherapists manifest themselves in interactional patterns between the therapists and the clients? The present study attempted to elucidate it by comparing expert and novice psychotherapists with regard to interaction patterns they exhibit in their counseling practice. The results show 1) that the model created to promote mutual learning among the psychotherapists was indeed effective in that the cycles of counseling sessions and research activities (such as analyzing the counseling data and discussions of the results, etc.) provided the participants with opportunities to discover and share knowledge they can employ in the counseling at work, and 2) that the mismatch between psychotherapists and clients in how they conceive and express the clients' problem can be resolved in counseling, and whether they can reach the solution seems to be correlated to the success of the psychotherapy as a whole. These were confirmed by quantitative as well as qualitative analyses of utterance and the accompanying gesture.

    本研究では,典型的な非テキスト情報である静止画像-特に単語で内容説明(アノテーション)が付けられた画像-をテキストで問い合わせるクロスメディア検索を対象とし,問い合わせと画像とを対応付ける検索モデルを開発している.そこでの中心的課題は検索モデル自動構築の際のデータガ疎であることであり,複数メディアの組み合わせによりデータを補完するプロセスを構築することで,このボトルネックの解消を図る.昨年度に引き続き,検索の対象をこれまでのような単一異言語コレクションと想定するのではなく,複数の言語が混在するようなコレクションに対する検索,すなわちマルチリンガルクロスメディア検索を想定して,検索手法の開発を行った.具体的には以下のとおりである.まず,問い合わせと異なる言語でアノテーションが付加された画像全てを,アノテーションが欠落した画像とみなす.そして,検索対象となる異言語混在画像全てを,画像の視覚的情報のみに基づきクラスタリングする.次に,問い合わせと同一言語でのアノテーションを持つ画像のみを対象にしてテキストに基づいた単言語検索を行う.最後に,既に行った視覚的クラスタリングの結果を元に,異なる言語でアノテーションが付与された画像を,単一言語に基づくランキング結果の中に挿入する.これは,原ランキング上位の画像と同一クラスターに所属する画像を同位置に配置することにより,新たなランキングを作り出すという,再ランキング事後処理である.本年度は,このテキスト情報の不足を補うために画像情報を,前処理及び後処理において使用して,複数情報源を処理の異なる段階で使用する手法にどのようなトピック依存性(問い合わせの主題により性能が変化する)があるか,また視覚的な特徴量の適切な抽出手法やクラスタリングの閾値について検討した.

    This project aims at developing technology for utilizing the heterogeneous contents. We studied link and structural analysis of Webs, cross-media processing technology, epistemological framework of the Web and developed corpora for evaluating information utilization methods for the Web.1) We developed an information extraction and organization methods using the textual and graphical structure of the Web-Web page clustering methods based on the link structure-Topic tracking using non-linear time-content analysis2) We proposed some advanced methods for processing and utilizing multimedia as follows, focusing on media heterogeneity:-topic detection from multilingual text collection-user adaptive text summarization based on content types-crossmedia search by enhancing annotation-based image retrieval model with content-based features-JuNii+: user interface for image retrieval-utilizing interview video archives for learning3) We organized a series of evaluation workshops "NTCIR", in which a number of researchers participated to develop new testbeds, each of which consists of a common test data for research on heterogeneous digital content. As the results, for instance, we built up a terabyte-scale dataset by crawling the -jp domain, and established evaluation methodologies to meet the practical situation. These contributed to the progress of the research in this area4) We analyzed the epistemological framework within which engineers process and model the Web information sources, contrasting it with the modern system of printed books. On the basis of the analysis, we concluded that it is hard to directly apply the model defined by the quintessentially modern concept of information accumulation as represented in the ideal of libraries, and showed that "information editing" would be necessary to explore fully the potential of web information sources.
