    Sea breezes are important in a coastal urban climate; however, the impact of urban development on the effects of sea breezes, which decrease air temperature and increase humidity, has not been understood quantitatively. To quantitatively evaluate this impact in Sendai, Japan over the past twenty years, this study analyzed the heat balance mechanisms in urban spaces based on the simulation results of the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model coupled with Local Climate Zone (LCZ) maps. Compared to the observation data on air temperature, specific humidity, and wind in August 2002, results of the numerical simulation, using the 2002 LCZ map and the meteorological conditions of August 2002, confirmed that the WRF model could reproduce meteorological factors well. Thereafter, two numerical simulations using the LCZ maps from 2002 and 2022 were conducted based on the same meteorological condition, from 25 July to 1 September 2008, to extract the impact of urban development on the effects of sea breeze. Consequently, when land use changed from urban built-up land to natural land cover, both the effects of sea breeze—decreasing air temperature and increasing humidity—decreased. Additionally, increases in LCZ 3 (compact low rise), mainly from LCZ 6 (open low rise) and LCZ 9 (sparsely built), decreased the effects of sea breeze (decreasing air temperature and increasing humidity) by 5% and 10%, respectively, in areas around Sendai Station. This was because the consumption of the sea breeze’s potential to decrease air temperature and increase humidity increased and the wind speed of sea breezes decreased in the windward areas of Sendai Station. These results provide new insights into the impact of urban development on the effects of sea breeze and quantitatively reveal changes in the effects of sea breeze.

    At the present days, many of land developments are sited at the suburban area. These are comparatively large and prepared by land formation of forest or farm. In this paper, it's described land cover changes at hte suburban land developments by using Landsat satellite Thematic Mapper data in Sendai city area. Three differnt time images are compared with each other, 10 years changes of land cover are analyzed. As the results, it's cleared that many of land cover changed spots are appeared at suburb. Many of these spots are changed from the forest at 1985 to the bare ground at 1990 and further to the urbanized area at 1995. Land cover changes from the farm are extended.

    本研究課題は二つの目的を有する。一つは、都市の影響を受ける前の海風の特性を把握するための沿岸部測定点の復活、そして都市暑熱化を念頭にした中心市街地付近の測定点の増設、すなわち都市気候観測網の再整備である。もう一つは、当研究室が蓄積する都市気候観測データと既存の将来気候の予測資料を連結させ、空間解像度を向上させる将来都市気候の統計的ダウンスケーリング手法を確立するとともに、その推定結果について分析を施すことである。
    2021年度は最終年度であり、当研究室で再整備した都市気候観測網から得られた測定データに基づく、統計的ダウンスケーリングのための基礎的な精査検討、すなわち観測日によって絶対値の異なる気温観測結果を同時刻の仙台管区気象台観測結果との差値(気温差)に着目することで、日々の気候差異に関わらず比較的精度よく各所の気温を推定することの検討を、研究計画通り実施した。関連する研究成果を国際学術誌に当研究室大学院生と連名にて投稿し、査読付き論文として採択される等、一定の成果を挙げることができたと考えている。
    一方、予定していた研究成果発表のための国内および外国旅費は、新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響で、今年度も全く執行できなかった。そのため、補助事業期間の延長及び繰越の手続きをとることとする。
    本研究課題にて都市気候観測網の再整備は概ね完了した。今後もこの都市気候観測網を活用した測定を継続し、海風影響の強い沿岸都市・仙台における気候配慮の都市計画に資する学術研究を推進する。一方、所属研究機関内での職務変化を第一義にせざるを得ない状況でもあり、研究成果等に基づく書籍執筆など広く社会普及についても検討したい。

    A concurrent measurement of wind velocities above the city using two Doppler lidars, and air temperature and humidity at multiple observation points was conducted in Sendai, a coastal city of Japan. A time series of the spatial distributions of the wind direction, speed, and power spectrum of the fluctuations of the wind were analyzed with a time series of air temperature and humidity for each day. Based on these, the characteristics of urban climate were classified into four types.
    Evaluated the 3-dimensional structure of wind velocity, air temperature and humidity above the city and their time change by using both measured and numerical simulation values.
    Quantitatively evaluated the effect of changing the shape of high-rise buildings on the wind environment near the ground, focusing on high-rise buildings as a device that enhances the mixing of air near the ground and that over cities. From this, the effect of high-rise buildings in controlling the transfer was summarized.

    Based on the prediction results of future climate in several cities of Germany and Japan, urban environmental climate map was created, and the potential image of the adaptation city was discussed through the expert collaboration workshop by urban planning and climate experts. In the final year, we carried out expert collaborative workshops in Karlsruhe, Essen, Berlin in Germany and Kobe in Japan. We examined the adaptive urban design guidelines and exchanged information and opinions with the experts in this field, and discussed the direction and issues of the study toward the realization of the adaptation city. The followings were discussed; citizen's sense of outdoor environment and green, roles of government and citizens for the green maintenance, collaboration between government, university and company for the practice of measure.

    There are two aspects to the countermeasures against urban warming: mitigation and adaptation. Moreover, urban warming is caused by both global warming and urban heat islands (UHIs). This study proposed a system to assess the effects of countermeasures used to mitigate global warming, mitigate UHIs, and adapt to urban warming simultaneously. Moreover, an evaluation method for outdoor health risk in the extremely hot days was developed. In this study, to distinguish between hazards that cannot be controlled by humans and those that can be controlled by modification of urban structures, “natural hazard” and “actual hazard” were defined, respectively.
    Using the assessment systems, the effects of countermeasures were evaluated. Finally, the priority of measures for appropriate design of outdoor urban environment under future climate conditions was concluded.

    The climatic characteristics at different locations (Sendai, Nagano, Guangzhou and Wuhan)and the main influential factors contributing greatly to outdoor thermal comfort of each location were clarified by conducting field measurements. Next, the effects of urban forms on urban ventilation and sun-shading were quantitatively assessed by the climatic analysis using CFD. Based on these results, the method for climatically adapted urban planning with high environmental efficiency was proposed.

    1.人の動きの分布のデータ分析2008年度に実施したビオトープ内における人の動きの分布調査のデータ並びに同時に行った物理環境測定、温熱快適性に関するアンケート調査結果のデータを引き続き分析した。ここではアンケート調査結果と物理環境要素の比較だけでなく、人の活動に深く関わりのある人体熱収支(対流、放射、蓄熱、発汗、代謝量、仕事量、人体の蓄熱量)に着目し、人の温冷感に影響を与えるのは顕熱成分(人体からの対流による放散量と放射成分による流入量の合計値)の大きさだけでなく、対流、放射のバランスが重要であることが明らかとなった。
    2.人のactivityを考慮した都市空間のシミュレーションの開発また上記で示した分析を行うと同時に風洞実験により、歩行者群の総体としての空力特性や流れ場への影響に関する基礎データを取得し、歩行者群の流体力学的影響を記述する新たなCFDモデルを開発し、風洞実験との結果に基づきモデルを最適化した。
    3.新たな都市環境デザインの提案1.の結果を踏まえて、CFD技術を応用して人体熱収支の各成分を算出し、緑地や水面の配置による物理環境要素の変化が、人体熱収支の変化を通じて屋外空間の温熱快適性に及ぼす影響を系統的かつ定量的に分析する方法を開発した。さらにこれを用いて、人の活動によって変化する人体の熱収支の構成要素と屋外における土地被覆等の諸条件の変化によりもたらされる物理環境の変化が人間の温熱快適性に与える影響の寄与度を考慮した環境デザインのための手法を考案した。
    4.まとめ以上の様に、人の動きだけでなくそれに大きく関係する人間の温熱快適性に着目し、実測、アンケート調査を行い、人のactivityに関係する要因を抽出することができた。またその結果から新たな環境デザイン提案までに至り、萌芽研究としての当初の目標を達成することができたと考えている。

    This research project is composed of two parts. In the first part, the simulation system for the whole year analysis of urban climate was developed. The accuracy of numerical results was examined by comparing its results with measured data. Next, the regional characteristics of urban climate inside Sendai was investigated based on the analysis of heat balance in the atmospheric part in urban space using the numerical results of the summer and winter seasons, and "heat balance map" that illustrated the areas where air temperature was decreased by sea breeze in summer and a seasonal wind from north-west in winter. Based on this map, the appropriate countermeasures against heat island effects were selected according to the regional characteristics of each region inside Sendai.
    In the latter part of this study, a new simulation method, which combined numerical analysis of mesoscale climate, CFD method for microclimate around building, radiation computations, and heating load calculation using the transient energy system simulation tool "TRNSYS", was developed to evaluate the spatial distributions of passive cooling effects due to the cross-ventilation. In three regions inside Sendai (Nenoshiroishi (inland area), central part of Sendai, Arai (coastal area), cooling loads for residential buildings were quantified. Next, "cooling load maps" that illustrated the detailed spatial distribution of cooling load inside Sendai and the reduction of cooling load by cross-ventilation were drawn. It was found that the effect of cross-ventilation was significantly large in the coastal areas of Sendai. The cooling load could be reduced by 50%〜90% by appropriately utilizing the passive cooling effects of cross-ventilation.

    過去に実測を行った福島県原町市と仙台を対象として、多段階Nesting手法に基づく気候数値解析を実施した。この結果から都市大気部の熱収支の分析を行い、通常の海風とやませが夏季市街地温熱環境に及ぼす影響を比較検討した。参考のために東京の熱収支分析も合わせて行った。その結果、東北地方の太平洋沿岸部では、通常の海風の場合でもその冷熱源としてのポテンシャルが非常に大きいこと、やませの場合その気温低減効果が一層顕著になることが確認された。3都市を比較すると、東京では海風の気温低減効果が他の2都市に比べると相対的に小さいことが明らかとなった。また、仙台では地表面からの熱の流入が大きく、同時に海風の効果も東京より大きいことが確認された。一方、原町市では他の2都市と比べて気温上昇を抑制する海風の効果が最も大きいことが確認された。以上までは、各都市の中心部を対象とする考察であるが、次にこの方法論を発展させ、都市内部の全地域を対象とする熱収支分析を行い、その結果を"熱収支Map"という形で表示し、海風の影響する範囲を視覚化する方法を考案した。そして、海風の気温低下効果に関する空間分布特性を詳しく検討した。さらに、このMAPを利用して、南東から吹く通常の海風と北東から吹く"やませ"の市街地への流入経路を調べ、各々の都市温熱環境への影響を分析した。そして、冷熱源としての"やませ"を市街地中心部のヒートアイランド対策として適度に利用するとともに、農地への冷気の侵入等の冷害を防止するための基本的な都市環境計画の方法を検討した。以上より、"やませ"が都市環境形成に及ぼすプラス、マイナスの効果を整理し、この両面を考慮した都市環境計画の考え方を検討した。

    This study is evaluating the effect of offering information empirically when house residents take an energy conservation action. The result of a practice example by four different patterns of offering information was inspected while the group which dealt with energy conservation. Generally, the energy conservation information which we are provided are assuming energy consumption in a typical condition. In this study, we tried to offered the individual information that accepted each home as energy. conservation diagnosis information.
    Energy conservation diagnosis information consists of information to show electric use information according to electric appliances machinery and relative waste inclination of energy. In addition, electricity consumption monitor of a realtime model was introduced, and enabled the monitoring for saving energy activity. Energy conservation measures information becomes from an item of how to use and an item of change for. And calculated an estimate amount of money of an effect by measures, and showed it to a resident. As a result of saving energy practice, a big energy conservation effect appeared in many of the family who took individual diagnosis information. However, there was the family who cannot save energy even if we offered diagnosis information. Most of the family who were not able to save energy were the family using few quantities of energy since a beginning. It became clear that it is important that to judged the inclination of waste by a diagnosis at the beginning.

    今後の民生分野における省エネルギー・二酸化炭素排出削減のため、Web対応型GISによる建物エネルギーに関するデータベースを構築しこれを公開することによって、消費者自身の省エネ意識を喚起することを目指すものである。本年度の研究実績は下記のとおりである。
    1)スタンドアロン(非公開型)GISによる公開方式の検証
    データベース化する建物は膨大になることが予想されるため、WebGISへの移行を念頭においたスタンドアロン(非公開型)GISによる公開方式の検討と検証を行った。またこのための調査結果の集計と図化(デジタル・コンテンツの蓄積)を図った。データ公開については、個人情報の保護の観点から、また膨大なデータによるコンピュータの過負荷の観点から、今回構築した数千件におよぶ建物全てを対象とするのではなく、例えば会員制のような形態で取り組むのが最善であるとの結論を得た。
    2)建物データベースの活用に関する研究
    次世代DSM(デマンド・サイド・マネジメント)検討のため、建物データベースの活用法に関する研究を行なった。具体的には、既存の電力供給網に対して分散型エネルギー源の適地検討手法を検討し、これまでGIS上に構築してきた建物エネルギー・データベースに応用した。
    これら研究の結果、WebGISで全ての建物エネルギーをモニタリングすることは、時期尚早であるものの、データベースの有用性および次世代DSMへの応用可能性について、基礎的な知見を得ることができたと考えられる。

    The effects of natural urban cool spots, i.e. greens, river, etc., on outdoor thermal environment in summer were investigated by field measurements and numerical analyses based on CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
    1) Field Measurement
    Field measurements of spatial distribution of air temperature, relative humidity and wind velocity were carried out in Haramachi city of Fukusima Prefecture, in the summers of 2001 and 2002. The results of field measurement are as follows:
    ・ Large effects of sea breeze on outdoor air temperature were observed.
    ・ Although the water temperature of river is higher than air temperature, the air temperature around river was lower than those in residential and urban areas. This is because river played an important role of the passage of the cold air from sea breeze.
    2) CFD analyses
    CFD analyses of a mesoscale climate in Tohoku district were carried out. The large effects of sea breeze on outdoor thermal environment in the coastal cites along the Pacific in Tohoku region, such as Sendai and Haramachi, were confirmed and its mechanism was numerically investigated by CFD analyses.
    3) A prototype of a new type of climate map
    A new concept of climate map based on the results of climate analyses was proposed, and the method of rearrangement of numerical data was studied for appropriate management of heat transfer in urban space. A prototype of climate map of Sendai was developed according to the concept proposed in this study.

    大規模宅地造成等により環境破壊が進む仙台市において、自然と調和した都市づくりの指針を明らかにするための、面的・基礎的な資料を整備した。
    1.人工衛星データを活用した土地被覆分布図、地表面温度分布図の作成
    1995年10月および1985年6月の2時期の、アメリカの人工衛星ランドサット5号のTMデータのうちband3及び4を用いた。土地被覆分布図の作成は特に「緑地」に着目し、正規化植生指標と呼ばれる植生の活性度を算定し分布図に表した。2時期のデータ比較による経年変化の考察を通じて、市街地郊外部の山林を大規模に宅地造成している現状を確認した。地表面温度分布図の作成はband6データを用い、CCT値から輝度温度に変換し、図化を行った。観測時刻が午前10時前のため、市街地部分はさほど昇温していなかったが、特に臨海工業地区、空港(滑走路)が高温域として着目された。また試行的に国土数値情報の土地利用データを用いた人工排熱分布図の作成を行った。
    2.仙台各地の風速・風向の調査と図化
    仙台市内に立地する既存の気象観測所11地点における風速風向資料を入手し、夏季(7&8月)時刻別の解析・図化を行った。海陸風により日中と夜間で風向風速とも状況は大きく異なり、日中は主として南南東風が、夜間は主として北風がどの観測所においても観測されていた。主風向は比較的安定した状況であった。
    3.既存地図情報により大気汚染源の特定と図化
    供給処理施設、大規模製造工場などを主たる対象とし、大気汚染物質発生源の位置の特定・図化を行った。工場の分布は、市街地の東側郊外にある工業地区および臨海部(仙台港周辺)に集中しているが、このほかにも比較的市街地中心部に混在する形で工場が点在している様子が見受けられた。風向風速の解析結果と合わせてこの状況を考察すると、少なからず都市の大気汚染に影響を及ぼしていることが推量された。

    The purpose of this study is grasping the characteristics of energy demand depends on defference of the climate in all parts of Japan and examining the methods of utilizing unused energy and co-generation.
    First, we surveyed the facilities of DHC in Hokkaido, Tokyo and west Japan area, and grasped the district characteristics. According to this survey, the heating load density is highest in Hokkaido area, and the cooling load density is highest in west Japan area.
    We proposaled new energy supply system, utilizing solar energy, unused river energy and co-generation. And examined the effects of introducing systems into Sapporo, Tokyo and Fukuoka area. As a consequence, Fukuoka area was best in introducing unused energy because Fukuoka is in favor of the hours of daylight and water temperature. But also proved to be successful in other area. So exermining DHC of utilizing unused energy in all parts of Japan is very effective.
